The Opportunity
The Systems Technician will be responsible for the execution of the maintenance tasks related to the Airfield Lighting Control & Monitoring System (ALCMS), ILCMS & CCRs, at King Khalid International Airport.
The system technician will be working on different types of equipment, including the ALCMS cabinet and the AGLAS servers/PCs, located in key spots around the airport, like the Electrical Airfield Substations, ATC Building, and the Maintenance Control Centre. Our mission is to perform all preventive maintenance for the ALCMS, ILCMS, and CCRs with a focus on safety and excellence, following the guidance of our skilled System Engineer. Plus, we’ll roll up our sleeves to handle any necessary repairs and corrective maintenance on these crucial systems. Let’s keep everything running smoothly and efficiently!
You will make an impact by….
- Monitor the ALCMS/ILCMS on a 24/7 basis to identify and report any system faults or deviations to the ALCMS Call Center Operator and the System Engineer.
- Execute the preventive maintenance workorders as planned and given by the System Engineer for the maintenance of the electronics systems and devices related to the Airfield Lighting Control & Monitoring System (ALCMS), Individual Lamp Control & Monitoring System and CCRs.
- Execute repair works due to unplanned events and systems failure as they appear.
- Record all events and faults related to the ALCMS/ILCMS and CCRs.
- Record all shift activities and hand them over to the next Technician on shift duty.
- Perform daily Inspection in different locations at the airport of the ALCMS/ILCMS and CCRs equipment such as: ALCMS Cabinet, ALCMS servers & ALCMS PCs, AGLAS servers/PCs & AGLAS Masters.
- To make sure the working environment is safe by always following all the safety rules and regulations.
- Support the management in the overall execution of the maintenance operations.
- Subject to regular on-call/re-call on emergency and incident basis. Perform Night Operations duty as scheduled by the Team Leader
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Multi-language, international & intercultural experience.
- Adaptability to work in a multinational, multicultural environment.
- Ability to learn and apply emergency response procedures related to aircraft/facility incidents/accidents and the procedures for notifying regulating authorities.
- Ability to always stay alert and aware to prevent injury or accidents.
- Ability to act in emergency situations or under pressure with minimal guidance or directions.
- Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, diagrams, technical specifications, operational manuals, and regulatory publications.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, materials, and tools used in the maintenance, installation, repair, and modification of electrical systems.
- Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with aircraft operations, high voltage airfield lighting systems.
- Certificate of Technical Education (electrical) for Technicians or equivalent, with 2 to 5 years’ experience in comparable function and facility.
- Well spoken in English Working knowledge of MS office tools (MS Projects, MS office etc.)
