Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our Accommodation/Tanker Vessels. You will be a key player in ensuring our fleet's compliance with all regulatory requirements, managing crew competency, and providing critical technical support. This role involves both shore-based responsibilities and international travel.
Ensuring full compliance with ISM, ISPS Code, and client marine instructions.
Conducting competency assessments for deck officers and providing operational support.
Coordinating with clients and internal teams on vessel progress and operations.
Monitoring vessel survey status, maintaining certifications, and managing critical spares.
Participating in inspections, audits, and on-hire surveys.
Training new Masters and Chief Mates on operational requirements.
Providing technical solutions to onboard engineering challenges.
Minimum of 24 months of sea service as a Master on the tanker type of vessel assigned.
Degree in Marine Navigation or equivalent.
Skills
- Vessel Operations & Safety:Expert in international maritime regulations (ISM, ISPS), safety program enforcement, and maintaining vessel compliance.
- Crew Management & Training:Skilled in crew assessment, training, and operational support.
- Technical & Administrative:Proficient in technical troubleshooting, managing vessel certificates, and coordinating logistics.
- Leadership:Strong leader and communicator, able to manage operations and act as a Master in emergencies.
- Certifications & Qualifications:
Nautical Certificate of Competency for Deck Officer.
COC First Class Certificate of Competency (Foreign going unlimited).
Full STCW Certification, including ISM & ISPS as SSO.
DPO Certified, Marlin Test, and GMDSS Endorsement.
Minimum of four years of sea service as a Master.
