Job Summary:
The Captain Waiter plays a key role in ensuring high-quality service by leading the waitstaff team, overseeing table service, and ensuring guest satisfaction. He/she acts as the link between the kitchen, servers, and guests, ensuring smooth operations during service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide waiters/waitresses in their daily tasks
- Greet guests and ensure excellent service is delivered at all times
- Take orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly
- Recommend menu items and upsell when appropriate
- Ensure tables are properly set and maintained throughout service
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely order delivery
- Handle guest complaints or special requests in a professional manner
- Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and grooming standards are maintained by the team
- Monitor dining areas to ensure a pleasant ambiance and proper setup
- Assist with training new service staff
- Ensure proper closing procedures are followed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a senior waiter or captain waiter
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Fluent in [specify languages if needed, e.g., English and Arabic]
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Job Types: Temporary, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: ﷼3,000.00 - ﷼4,500.00 per month
