Job Title: Assistant Store Manager – Supermarket (VIVA)

Monthly Salary: SAR 6,000 (Gross – inclusive of basic, housing, and transportation)
About the Role:
VIVA is looking for a motivated and reliable Assistant Store Manager will be overseeing the full operations of the store, managing a team of 20+ staff members. The role requires leadership, attention to detail, strong customer service, and a clear understanding of supermarket retail operations. The candidate must be flexible, self-driven, and able to ensure high standards of store performance, team efficiency, stock control, and customer satisfaction
Key Responsibilities:
Store Leadership & Staff Management
- Supervise daily store operations and ensure alignment with company standards.
- Manage a team of more than 20 employees, across various functions.
- Lead by example to ensure a high-performance culture and staff discipline.
- Provide coaching and support to team members to drive productivity and morale.
Customer Service & Sales
- Ensure excellent customer service across all departments.
- Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner.
- Monitor sales performance and work toward achieving sales targets.
- Ensure store readiness at all times (cleanliness, staff, stock levels).
Inventory & Stock Management
- Oversee stock receiving, replenishment, rotation (FIFO), and write-offs.
- Ensure accurate stock levels and minimize wastage and shrinkage.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure product availability.
Operational Compliance
- Ensure store operations follow local regulations and internal SOPs.
- Enforce health and safety, hygiene, and cleanliness protocols.
- Maintain updated documentation and records related to store activities.
Reporting & Technology
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance.
- Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and communication.
- Support management with ad hoc reports and operational data.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–5 years in a similar role within the supermarket or retail grocery industry.
- High School Diploma or above.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English fluently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must have a transferable iqama.
- Flexible with working hours, workload, and capable of multitasking.
