We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller with experience in the real estate or construction sector. The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project-related documents to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards and industry regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control the flow of project documentation including contracts, drawings, technical documents, and correspondence.
- Establish and maintain a document control system (manual or digital) to ensure timely distribution and retrieval of project documents.
- Track, monitor, and update document status, ensuring version control and preventing duplication or data loss.
- Ensure all documents comply with internal and external standards, formats, and procedures.
- Liaise with project teams, consultants, and contractors to collect and issue documentation.
- Prepare reports on document status, outstanding submissions, and approvals for management.
- Safeguard confidential and sensitive information with strict adherence to data security policies.
- Support project close-out by ensuring proper archiving and handover of all final documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (3–5 years) as a Document Controller in construction, real estate development companies.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, QA/QC documentation, and project management documentation protocols.
- Proficiency in EDMS (Electronic Document Management Systems) such as Aconex, Procore, or Primavera, and strong MS Office skills.
