The Senior Director Assurance and Audit leads the strategic direction and execution of the Assurance and Audit function within Qiddiya’s Strategic Delivery Unit - Quality. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and effectiveness of quality assurance and audit practices across all Development Business Units and Asset Delivery Teams. The incumbent will define and implement the assurance and audit strategy, oversee compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), and ensure audit readiness across the organization. This includes assuring stage gate deliverables, procurement quality, design compliance, and delivery execution. The role also involves leading a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and providing strategic insights to executive leadership. The Senior Director will serve as a key advisor on quality risks, champion best practices, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive excellence in project delivery.
Define and drive the strategic direction of the Assurance and Audit team in alignment with organizational goals
Lead the Assurance and Audit across Development Business Units and Assets Delivery Teams
Lead and mentor a high-performing Assurance and Audit team of managers and specialists
Develop and implement the Assurance and Audit strategy aligned with organizational quality goals
Ensure audit readiness and lead responses to internal and external audits
Assure stage gate deliverables for completeness and compliance.
Ensure procurement quality requirements are clearly defined and consistently applied.
Ensure adherence to the design quality assurance process by contractors and consultants
Assure implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) by the relevant Dev. Project teams/Dev. Bus
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Represent the Assurance and Audit team in executive leadership meetings and strategic forums
Ensure project teams have the necessary expertise and consultants for quality checks and audits.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure compliance with regulations
Champion best practices and ensure consistent adoption across the organization
Identify and mitigate risks related to quality and compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive results
Provide regular updates and strategic insights to executive leadership
Requirements
BSc in Information Systems Management or similar degree (i.e. UK Level 6)
Over 15 years of leadership experience in Construction Technology on mega or giga projects
