You are a storyteller with a strategic mind, able to turn complex wealth-management concepts into clear, engaging narratives that educate, inspire, and convert. As Senior Content Specialist, you own our long-form and short-form content pipeline—from idea to publication—ensuring every word reflects the authority, transparency, and innovative spirit of Malaa.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the editorial calendar for blogs, whitepapers, email series, social posts, video scripts, media buying content, and in-app copy.
- Translate investment insights, product updates, and open-banking data into user-friendly stories that position us as a thought leader.
- Own the end-to-end content workflow: research, outlining, drafting, stakeholder reviews, legal/compliance checks, and final publication.
- Maintain and evolve the brand tone of voice; enforce style guidelines across all written assets.
- Conduct subject-matter interviews with executives, portfolio managers, and external experts to extract unique perspectives.
- Monitor content performance analytics; run A/B tests on headlines, CTAs, and formats, iterating quickly based on data.
- Mentor junior writers or freelance contributors, providing feedback that elevates overall quality and consistency.
- Stay current on fintech, wealth-management, and regulatory trends to proactively pitch new story angles and evergreen educational themes.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2-3 years of professional content creation or journalism experience, with at least 1 year in fintech, financial services, or SaaS.
- Proven ability to distill technical or regulatory topics into engaging, plain-language narratives.
- Portfolio of long-form and short-form pieces that drove measurable growth (traffic, leads, or user engagement).
- Excellent interviewing, research, and fact-checking skills; comfortable collaborating with subject-matter experts.
- Superior written and verbal Arabic & English; adept at presenting and defending content strategy to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Self-driven who can manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving startup environment.
Nice to have:
- Experience writing for regulated investment/credit products or working closely with Legal/Compliance teams.
- Familiarity with wealth-management concepts (asset allocation, risk metrics, custody models).
- Basic knowledge of design tools (Figma, Canva) to annotate drafts and streamline designer hand-offs.
- Podcast or webinar scripting/hosting experience.
