Job Summary:
The QC Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical works in the Solar/PV project — including installation of mechanical systems, equipment, and structures — are performed in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and KSA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and verify mechanical installations, such as mounting structures, piping, HVAC (if applicable), supports, and equipment.
- Review and ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and QA/QC procedures.
- Conduct material inspections, welding inspections, and dimensional checks as required.
- Witness mechanical testing (pressure testing, torque checks, equipment alignment, etc.).
- Monitor subcontractor works to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test certificates, and quality documentation.
- Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Participate in client and consultant inspections, audits, and project handovers.
- Coordinate with site engineers, construction teams, and HSE to ensure safe and quality execution of mechanical works.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as QC Engineer (Mechanical) in Solar/PV or heavy industrial projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards, inspection methods, and KSA regulations.
- Familiar with international codes (ASME, ASTM, AWS, ISO, etc.).
- Good knowledge of welding and fabrication inspection methods.
- Certification in QA/QC Mechanical / Welding Inspector is an advantage.
- Strong communication and documentation skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
