Job description
We are looking for a skilled Procurement Officer with a background in the construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of construction materials and services procurement processes, ensuring that all purchasing aligns with project timelines and budgetary considerations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute effective procurement strategies tailored to construction projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers of construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Manage supplier relationships to guarantee high quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of materials.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to understand procurement needs and provide strategic support.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and analyze trends in construction pricing and availability.
- Maintain thorough documentation of procurement processes, purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and company standards in all procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
