Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our team for a high-profile construction and interior fit-out project in Saudi Arabia. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery in compliance with client requirements and local standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (baseline and updates) using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to gather planning and progress data.
- Analyze and forecast project timelines, critical paths, resource allocation, and productivity rates.
- Monitor project progress and generate weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules.
- Identify and assess potential delays, propose recovery actions, and track mitigation measures.
- Support the preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis reports.
- Ensure alignment of the planning schedule with project budget, procurement plan, and cash flow.
- Attend client and consultant meetings to present schedule updates and address planning-related queries.
- Integrate fit-out milestones (MEP, finishes, testing & commissioning) into overall project schedule.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations and project-specific requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in planning/scheduling roles, specifically in construction and interior fit-out projects.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
- Familiarity with fit-out processes, MEP coordination, and fast-track project delivery.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource planning.
- Experience in working with Saudi clients, consultants, or government authorities is highly desirable.
- PMP or PSP certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:
