Responsibilities: - Lead and manage complex capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings, debt offerings, and securities compliance. - Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic legal advice tailored to the capital markets sector. - Collaborate with cross-border teams to advise on regulatory and transactional matters impacting multi-jurisdictional clients. - Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the firm's capital markets practice. - Mentor and guide junior lawyers and staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. - Stay abreast of evolving capital markets regulations and industry trends to provide cutting-edge legal counsel. - Represent the firm in industry forums, conferences, and networking events to enhance its profile and market presence.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice in relevant US jurisdictions. - Minimum of 8-10 years of substantive experience in capital markets law within a leading law firm or in-house legal department. - Proven track record of handling high-value and complex capital markets transactions, including IPOs and securities offerings. - Exceptional knowledge of US securities laws and regulations, with international law experience being a strong asset. - Demonstrated business development skills with an ability to attract and retain high-profile clients. - Strong leadership qualities with experience managing teams and mentoring legal professionals. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and client-focused environment.
Executive search involves working with a third party, such as JEX Personnel. Executive search is relationship driven.
