What are we looking for?
- The Material Handler is a shift based role and is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage and handling of materials within the warehouse and the production lines/staging areas. This Includes material flow to production lines as per the schedule. This role involves coordinating with other material handlers, managing inventory, and coordinating with various departments and external warehouses to ensure timely and accurate material flow. The job holder is responsible for the warehouse area daily operations, adherence to safety, quality and food safety and comply with Mars policies and regulations. The job holder is also responsible for all system material movements (SAP, WMS, PDLS, PPM, etc.) during the shift.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Principles Accountabilities
Support in operating all MHEs in designated areas (WH and production) as per safety guidelines.
100% Adherence to all required safety regulations and trainings.
Escalate safety incidents or PSIF and ensure effective closure for all SIF/PSIF in assigned area.
Follow emergency team rules.
Ensure all R&P match the Q&FS specs and perform visual inspection as appropriate.
Ensure 100% adherence to GMP-GHP in all operations areas.
Verify all cleaning activities in warehouse area done following the master cleaning plan.
Escalate any abnormalities related to materials to production team leader/SPT.
Escalate NCR to Q&FS team, raise it in system (NEXUS) and ensure effective closure and collaboration with Q&FS team.
Coordinate with external warehouses the trips schedule and call-off materials status.
Review the daily/weekly production plan and follow up the changes on shift base.
Coordinate the work with material handlers in other shifts and ensure proper flow of information related to materials and FG.
Assign tasks to MHE operators and material handlers as appropriate in inbound, outbound and materials movements between warehouse and production lines.
Escalate deviations in inventory and stock level to production team leader/SPT.
Appropriate use of PDLS for daily movements of R&P and FG.
Ensure FIFO is followed for R&P and FG. Manage FIFO pallets visualization.
Return materials and ensure physical qty matching the system (SAP).
Perform weekly/periodical and yearly inventory.
Prepare NQC reports for weekly reviews.
Collaborate with peers and other material handlers to control the inventory and stock level and correct deviations on spot.
Perform traceability exercise when needed (for all material and FG).
Manage system errors (SAP) on daily bases.
Ensure daily/shift issues escalated properly using FMOS cycle.
Attend shift handover and convey information to area contractors.
Ensure waste are segregated properly and moved to designated area following safety team regulations.
Coordinate the trucks loading/unloading. Ensure FG dispatches are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Maintain accurate records of material movement, inventory levels, and safety inspections. Prepare reports for management and regulatory compliance.
Work closely with other departments, such as logistics, production, and quality control, to ensure smooth material flow and resolve any issues.
Maintain good housekeeping, GMP and GHP at all times. Maintain the assigned area’s 5S standards.
Manage assigned area consumables and drive usage reduction.
Support sustainability initiatives in the factory.
Participate in MSE, continuous improvement activities e.g. Kaizen event, and VL workshop.
