We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Engineer (Architect) with 7–10 years of experience in interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, sourcing, and approving materials used in architectural and interior design projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate should be currently available in KSA or willing to relocate and able to join immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate architectural materials and finishes for compliance with design specifications, standards, and sustainability criteria.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, project managers, and procurement teams to select appropriate materials for interior fit-out projects.
- Prepare and maintain material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and technical documentation.
- Source and assess new materials and suppliers in line with project requirements, budget, and timelines.
- Ensure all materials comply with local regulations, safety standards, and project-specific guidelines.
- Support the design and construction teams in resolving material-related technical issues.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for timely approvals and material deliveries.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure the correct use of approved materials.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, innovations, and sustainability practices in architectural materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in material engineering with a strong focus on interior fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of architectural materials, finishes, and specifications.
- Experience working on high-end commercial, residential, or hospitality fit-out projects is a plus.
- Knowledge of local and international material standards and building codes.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and material documentation software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be currently in KSA or open to relocation, with the ability to join immediately.
