PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Marketing Executive provides professional support in a wide range of marketing activities, working closely with Brand, commercial and administrative teams. She/ he interprets, adapts and plans brand marketing plans, keeping in mind the brand standards and budgets.
The main mission is to ensure the international innovations plan is implemented in KSA Market as per the launch calendar and to establish the on-counter events calendar to support the launches.
This position requires efficient communication across the regional and local teams based in Jeddah (Marketing, Merchandising, Training, Logistic, Finance, PR, Digital & CRM, Commercial), as well as the KSA retailers.
- Job responsibilities
Marketing and Promotional Plans
- Be involved in all aspects of marketing and media from planning, advertising, promotions, public, media relations, product development and research
- Assist in building marketing plan / calendar for the different chains/brands/ markets in close co-operation with the Marketing Manager and the brand’s marketing departments
- Handle the marketing plan forecast and the marketing plan orders
- Follow up closely on the plans’ implementation, schedule and activities.
- Plan and follow-up on promotions in coordination with the commercial and merchandising teams
- Manage and coordinate with concerned parties for the production of marketing materials, visuals, podiums, flyers, and preparing necessary photo shoots
- Organize, attend events, and exhibitions.
- Carry out local market research, customer survey, assessing customer demands, brand positioning, monitor competitor's activities, and evaluating market campaigns.
Suppliers/Customer Relationship
- Monitor windows, podiums and any other promotional area ensuring promotional activities throughout the year, in coordination with the Merchandising department.
- Present the various marketing plans and ensure its proper implementation.
- Inform supply planner and logistics department about marketing activities to ensure the availability of the stock timeframe.
- Meet and discuss with local suppliers for all marketing bookings and animations
- Send the catalogues, new price lists and miscellaneous information to the customers
Advertising and Promotional activities
- Manage the various marketing budgets to organize corporate above the line and below the line promotional / advertising activities and corporate items purchase
- Prepare monthly updated report of media expenses.
- Liaise with the different department especially, the Regional Marketing team.
- Prepare monthly management report comparing the budget versus the stock.
- Handle Arabization/ translation of all the documents
- Digital: Negotiates & books the social media support for events, prepares the assets (with regional team), gets retailer approvals, follow up of implementation and reports.
Customer data base
- Build, maintain and update good database (CRM) through consolidate information from POS
Animations and on-counters events
- KSA events plan follow up: set up of the on-counter animations plan, supplier selection and briefing, production follow up, orders marketing elements and testers, participation to the event when relevant, collects event feedback and prepares reports.
- Marketing Tools: manage and coordinate with concerned parties the production of marketing materials such as leaflets, visuals, editions. Updates the POS service tools when necessary.
- Digital: Negotiates & books the social media support for events, prepares the assets (with regional team), gets retailer approvals, follow up of implementation and reports.
- Launch feedback: sends feedbacks to the region regarding new launches, regional animations, HPP, key events, etc. Presents information during internal meetings.
Forecasts and Budgets
- Forecasts the novelties (sales products & POSM) and basic POSM (AOG, gifts, blotters, etc.) Ensures the dispatch of the forecasted references as per agreed launch and trade marketing plan. Monitors the POSM forecasts vs the approved budgets.
- Prepare the yearly budget of the on-counter events plan, track the expenses and ensure the budget is respected.-
- POs : raise and follow up of POs to the suppliers, follow up on payments.
