Job Title: Logistics and Fleet Coordinator – Food Industry
Location: Saudi Arabia Department: Operations Reporting To: Operations Manager / Supply Chain Manager
Job Purpose
To manage all logistics and transportation activities related to the distribution of food products, ensuring efficient delivery operations, optimal vehicle usage, maintenance of fleet standards, and proper management of cash collected from customers (COD). The role is vital in maintaining the integrity, safety, and timeliness of food deliveries across the Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities1. Driver and Fleet Supervision
- Oversee a team of delivery drivers responsible for transporting food products to retail, HORECA, and institutional clients.
- Assign daily delivery routes and ensure adherence to cold chain and time-sensitive delivery requirements.
- Monitor driver behavior and performance, including hygiene, punctuality, and professionalism.
2. Food Delivery Operations
- Coordinate and follow up on the timely delivery of fresh, frozen, and packaged food items.
- Address delivery issues proactively and resolve complaints related to delays or misdeliveries.
- Ensure delivery logs are completed accurately and match the dispatch schedule.
3. Vehicle Maintenance and Hygiene
- Schedule and supervise periodic maintenance of refrigerated and standard vehicles.
- Conduct hygiene inspections to ensure compliance with SFDA and food safety standards.
- Maintain updated registration, insurance, and inspection documents for all vehicles.
4. Fuel and Route Optimization
- Track fuel usage and implement route optimization to reduce transportation costs.
- Monitor GPS systems and delivery timelines for efficiency and route compliance.
- Report fuel costs and prevent misuse through regular audits.
5. COD Cash Management
- Reconcile daily cash collected by drivers for Cash-on-Delivery (COD) orders.
- Ensure accurate handover, counting, and banking of collected amounts.
- Maintain detailed records and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
6. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain daily logs for delivery completion, fuel consumption, and vehicle service.
- Submit daily and monthly performance reports to management.
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance documentation related to logistics.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in fleet/logistics operations, preferably in the food or FMCG sector.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, cold chain logistics, and SFDA regulations.
- Strong command of Excel and GPS/fleet tracking tools.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage field-level operations independently.
