Description
We are seeking a seasoned Internal Audit Manager to lead and enhance our internal audit function within the financial industry in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will champion the integrity of our financial and operational processes, ensuring robust risk management, world-class governance, and compliance with both local and international standards.Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a risk-based annual internal audit plan aligned to the organization’s strategic objectives, industry regulations, and guidance from SAMA and CMA.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify critical areas of exposure (financial, operational, compliance), and craft audit scopes and programs accordingly.
- Oversee and execute a wide range of audits—financial, operational, compliance, and special projects—ensuring adherence to international IA Standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with senior management and the audit committee to communicate audit plans, findings, and recommendations effectively.
- Partner with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audit cycles to facilitate compliance and reporting.
- Prepare clear, concise audit reports—highlighting findings, root cause analysis, and actionable recommendations for management and board review.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and perform follow-ups to ensure timely, sustained resolution of issues.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance programs ensuring compliance with professional standards and periodic reviews of the audit function.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes in line with best practices and SAMA/CMA expectations.
- Drive improvements through automation, data analytics, and innovative audit methodologies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CIA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years in internal audit, preferably within financial institutions filed.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
- Saudi only.
