Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented FPS-117 Radar Engineer to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing:
Supports the RSAF Officer-in-Charge by:
Actively advising and assisting in all aspects of his specialty.
Continuously monitoring of all RSAF training in his specialty and recommending improvements.
Training RSAF Engineering Officers and Warrant Officers in practical and theory.
Producing adequate engineering training material in his specialty.
Performing intermediate level maintenance in his specialty as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
BS degree and typically 10+ years of related professional experience. An advanced degree may be preferred at this level.
Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience on a wide variety of surveillance Radars including FPS-117.
Must have theoretical and practical knowledge and experience with FPS-117 Radar operation & maintenance.
The experience should include installation, testing, integration, upgrades and modifications to the FPS-117 Radars.
Overall experience with Radars should include Air Defense Ground Radar, Primary/Secondary, all aspects of 3- dimensional Radar plot extractors, Height Computers, and interface equipment.
The technical know-how should include Antennas, Processors, computers, monitoring, data transmission, plot extractors, power systems and other sub systems associated with FPS-I17 Radars.
Specific experience with the FPS-117 is required to include at least three (3) years in developing and/or maintaining the FPS-117 Radar System.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and travel to remote radar sites to perform specialized maintenance, trouble shooting, and training.
