JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The post holder will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of English language training of students for BAES SDT at TINS which includes classroom delivery, placement and progress testing, marking, materials selection, preparation and development, syllabus development, implementation of courses and record keeping. The post holder will co-ordinate with SELT concerning all aspects of course administration and implementation.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Selecting and developing appropriate course material to match students’ abilities and requirements,
- Independently delivering training courses and carrying out the associated administration.
- Providing continuous assessment of students’ learning progress.
- Documenting work as necessary – attendance, progress reports, lesson plans, schemes of work, assessment plans.
- Preparing students for appropriate external English Language qualifications i.e. IELTS, APTIS.
- Developing learning materials to improve the required skills, and knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.
- Ensuring that all reports are completed and submitted to the SELT in a timely manner.
- The post holder will be expected to operate to a standard of absolute integrity and professionalism.
Essential
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject (preferably English or modern languages).
- For SN instructors, either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Education in English Language.
- Hold CELTA or equivalent, DELTA preferred.
- Have teaching experience in a company or language school, Middle East experience preferred.
- Proven capability in delivering English language training.
- A good team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Fluent in English (minimum IELTS 6.5 for a Saudi post holder, achieved within the last 2 years),
- Experience of delivering IELTS preparation courses / as an IELTS Examiner.
- Demonstrate high levels of cultural sensitivity.
Desirable
- Knowledge and experience of different EL methodologies and associated techniques.
- Experience in delivering Technical English training in a technical training institution.
- Knowledge and experience of developing materials.
- Experience and knowledge of CALL Lab activities and software.
- Experience of using interactive media for teaching.
- Experience of delivering training to a military customer, or a customer in a regulated environment.
