We are on the lookout for a results-oriented and strategic individual to fill the role of Director - Logistics. This position is pivotal in ensuring that logistics operations are efficient, timely, and aligned with our project goals, contributing directly to the seamless execution of various initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies that encompass planning, transportation, inventory management, and distribution.
- Oversee the logistics operations for all projects, ensuring effective coordination between suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Manage end-to-end supply chain processes, optimizing costs while enhancing service levels.
- Build and maintain relationships with logistics providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and explore new opportunities.
- Implement best practices in logistics management and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for optimization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards in logistics operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, project management, and engineering to facilitate smooth operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting logistics performance and strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Proven track record of designing and executing effective logistics strategies in complex environments.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams.
