Job Description
Responsible for supervising all civil works on the project, including site preparation, foundations, structural works, and finishing. The role involves reviewing drawings, ensuring quality control, and coordinating daily activities to meet construction timelines.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Required Experience:
5-7 years of experience in civil site execution, preferably in the solar industry.
Hands-on experience in the execution of projects, including civil works such as foundation, structure installation, and site preparation.
Experience working with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors and managing site teams.
Required Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Project.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders. -Ability to manage site activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Strong report writing and documentation skills.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
Tasks and Duties:
- Review the structure proposal and construction drawings for civil work and steel structure work. Site Condition: Make the budget and execution scheme for civil work.
- Supervise the execution of civil works, including excavation, foundations, concrete, steel, and other related construction activities.
- Control the execution progress, quality, and safety, solve the problems during the civil work execution in a timely manner, and ensure the civil work is completed on time.
- Monitor & Manage contractor and subcontractor performance on site.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with approved materials and specifications.
- Coordinate civil inspection and testing activities (e.g., slump test, compaction test).
- Ensure safety measures and housekeeping are maintained on civil works.
- Make the progress report and other relevant reports for civil work.
- Resolve technical issues or discrepancies with consultants or clients.
- Track civil work schedules and support project planning updates.
- Verify and approve civil-related as-built drawings and records
- Liaise with local authorities if needed for civil-related permits or inspections
- Specify the material, machines, and tools for civil work, and follow up on the delivery and status.
