Job Title: Support Engineer - webMethods (System Admin)
Role Overview:
The Support Engineer specializing in webMethods will be responsible for providing expert technical support and administration for the webMethods suite, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of integration solutions. You will work closely with development, operations, and other stakeholders to enhance system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for system management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support the webMethods platform, including Integration Server, Broker, and other components.
- Monitor system performance and availability; troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement and maintain best practices for system configuration, deployment, and management.
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, and migration efforts.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize integration solutions for scalability and performance.
- Create and maintain documentation for system architecture, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Assist in incident management and problem resolution, including root cause analysis.
- Train and support users on webMethods and integration best practices.
- Stay current with webMethods updates, features, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in system administration or support of webMethods platforms.
- Strong understanding of integration concepts and web services.
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning for webMethods systems.
- Familiarity with database management and SQL.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certifications in webMethods or related technologies are a plus.
