As a leader in redefining entertainment and leisure experiences, Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced MEP Director for our Commercial Office Development projects. This role will be pivotal in driving the planning, design, and implementation of MEP systems specific to our commercial office developments, ensuring they meet operational resilience, sustainability, and economic efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Direct the MEP engineering activities related to commercial office development projects, from design to execution.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure MEP systems are integrated seamlessly into the building design.
- Evaluate and select MEP technologies and solutions that enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with local and international codes, standards, and best practices throughout all project phases.
- Lead project meetings and communicate MEP planning status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders and executive management.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure high-quality outcomes in MEP installations.
- Conduct risk assessments related to MEP systems and implement mitigation strategies.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.
- Foster a collaborative environment while mentoring team members and enhancing their technical skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in MEP engineering, primarily focused on commercial office developments.
- Demonstrated experience managing substantial projects in the MEP domain.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP design principles, energy efficiency practices, and relevant codes.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with a knack for troubleshooting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate technical concepts.
- Proficient in using MEP engineering design software and modeling tools.
- Knowledge of the Middle Eastern construction market is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or MEP engineering are a plus.
