As an IT System Administrator at Müller's Solutions, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation of servers and systems. You will be instrumental in implementing and supporting network and server environments, while also ensuring the security and integrity of our systems against vulnerabilities. This role involves proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing system performance to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, applications, and hardware.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and performance of IT services.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls for systems and applications.
- Implement and oversee data backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery procedures are in place.
- Provide technical support for staff and troubleshoot IT-related issues across the organization.
- Ensure system security measures are in place, including firewalls, anti-virus software, and patch management.
- Assist in planning and implementing system migrations, upgrades, and expansions to meet organizational needs.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and guidelines for future reference.
Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in system administration or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with network protocols, services, and security measures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to assist and train users on IT best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and automation tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Experience with IT service management tools or frameworks (ITIL).
- Understanding of database management (SQL Server, MySQL) and application server environments is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system management.
