JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Overview:
The Business Sales Executive is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth for the company. This includes researching potential clients, cultivating relationships, and closing sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the IT industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of successfully generating new business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Proactively identify and qualify new leads and business opportunities.
- Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to engage prospective clients.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including lead qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of sales prospects and opportunities.
- Negotiate contract terms and closed sales deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, delivery, marketing) to provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain detailed records of all client interactions and sales activity.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business possibilities.
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and revenue goals.
- Provide detailed reporting and analysis on sales activities, pipeline, and performance.
- Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
- Resolves customer complaints and other issues that may interfere with efficient business development operations.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop business development quotas and strategies.
- Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- A comparable record of business development leadership experience is required.
- At least three years of business development experience is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent business development and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
