Job Title: Government Relations Officer
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
A holding company operating across multiple sectors in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Government Relations Officer to manage and facilitate all governmental interactions, documentation, and compliance processes.
The ideal candidate will act as the main liaison between the company and various government bodies to ensure seamless operations, legal adherence, and timely approvals for company initiatives, employees, and corporate assets
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle all government-related transactions and services, including visas, Iqama processing, renewals, labor office visits, GOSI, chamber of commerce, and municipality interactions.
- Maintain strong relationships with key government agencies such as the Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Investment (MISA), GOSI, ZATCA, Ministry of Interior, Civil Defense, and others.
- Ensure timely compliance with Saudi labor laws, Saudization policies, and other regulatory requirements.
- Track and manage all legal and governmental documents and licenses, including renewal dates, submissions, and regulatory filings.
- Assist in the onboarding process for expatriates by facilitating work/residency permits, license registrations, and relocation procedures.
- Monitor changes in local legislation and update internal stakeholders with potential business impacts.
- Coordinate with legal and HR departments to resolve compliance-related matters.
- Represent the company in meetings, inspections, and other official engagements with government authorities.
- Maintain a digital and physical record of all official documents and approvals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Saudi National (mandatory).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in government relations within a corporate setting in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi labor law, visa and work permit procedures, and government portals (e.g., Muqeem, GOSI, Qiwa, Balady, Absher).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both Arabic and English.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Valid Saudi driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for government visits.
