We’re looking for a proactive and strategic Sales Manager – Government to develop and manage relationships with government clients and agencies. As part of the IHG family, you’ll focus on securing government contracts, maximizing revenue, and ensuring exceptional service delivery tailored to the unique needs of government accounts. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to support the hotel’s sales objectives and maintain strong client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with government clients and agencies.
Generate new business opportunities within the government sector and grow existing accounts.
Prepare and deliver proposals, bids, and presentations tailored to government requirements.
Negotiate contracts and agreements in compliance with government regulations and hotel policies.
Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to optimize business results.
Attend government-related networking events and industry forums.
Monitor market trends, policies, and competitor activities affecting government sales.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and client communications.
Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards and company policies.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience in government sales or related roles within hospitality.
Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to develop strategic sales plans and achieve targets.
Knowledge of government client needs and market trends.
Proficiency in sales software and CRM systems.
Flexibility to travel and attend client meetings as required.
