Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Director for an Aquatics Centre to pioneer the design and implementation of an innovative aquatic facility that caters to sports enthusiasts and the community at large. This role is vital in establishing Qiddiya as a premier destination for aquatic sports and leisure activities.
In this position, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of the Aquatics Centre project, from initial concept through to completion. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the facility meets the highest standards of safety, functionality, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning, design and development of the Aquatics Centre, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's vision for a world-class sports destination.
- Work closely with Master-planning and Master-development teams
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and design teams to develop cutting-edge aquatic sports facilities that enhance user experience and functionality.
- Conduct feasibility studies and market analysis to inform design decisions and gauge community interest and participation.
- Manage budgetary constraints and ensure that project milestones are met efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Establish and nurture relationships with local sports organizations, stakeholders, and community groups to align the centre's offerings with community needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during the development and operation of the Aquatics Centre.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed project documentation, including contracts, specifications, and weekly progress reports.
- Promote a culture of innovation by staying abreast of trends in aquatic sports and facility design.
- Present project plans and progress updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree related to Real Estate Development, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in master-planning and master development
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple project activities simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- A passion for sports and community engagement, with a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
