JASARA PMC is seeking an Expression of Interest (EOI) for a Construction Director for the Stadium Masterplan project. This critical role will oversee the construction management process for a world-class stadium development, focusing on delivering excellence in project execution and meeting the strategic objectives of JASARA PMC.
The Construction Director will be responsible for managing all phases of construction, collaborating closely with stakeholders, and ensuring that projects adhere to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This position demands a visionary leader with extensive experience in large-scale construction projects within the sports and entertainment sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall planning, execution, and delivery of the Stadium Masterplan, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication among project stakeholders.
- Ensure all construction activities align with the project’s vision and strategic goals.
- Develop detailed construction schedules, budgets, and progress reports while tracking project performance against key performance indicators.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and quality.
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental management across the project site.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client interactions, maintaining professional relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support business development initiatives through involvement in contract bidding, proposal presentation, and strategic negotiations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in managing large-scale projects, particularly in stadiums or similar large venues.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage large multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of forging successful client relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contract management, and project management best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen to develop and manage project budgets and forecasts.
- Commitment to excellence in health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools for tracking progress and performance.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment and an understanding of local regulations and construction practices in the region is preferred.
