Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil 3D/ BIM Coordinator to join our team! You will be responsible for utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to develop and manage digital models, supporting project teams in delivering high-quality design and construction solutions. This role involves collaboration with internal teams, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and manage digital models using BIM-related software.
Support the preparation, review, and execution of BIM implementation and management plans at the program/project level.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective model integration and coordination.
Assist in responding to client queries and requests related to BIM deliverables.
Provide input and technical expertise to clients and team members working on the same project.
Prepare model assurance reports and assist in drafting special provisions under supervision.
Coordinate with other departments on work assignments and project deliverables.
Provide technical guidance to junior staff, review their deliverables, and support the development of training and coaching materials.
Perform other related responsibilities as required by the position.
Advanced knowledge of BIM software, workflows, and design modeling principles.
Proficiency in applying moderately advanced modeling software and troubleshooting related issues.
Familiarity with deployment processes and requirements for BIM implementation.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and their application to modeling assignments.
Proficiency in using and managing Common Data Environments (CDE) for model production, such as ProjectWise or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Ability to develop basic design plans and create catalogues (e.g., 2D symbology, families, parametric parts, sub-assemblies).
Knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) practices in BIM processes.
Effective computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and non-technical information effectively to management, engineering, and production staff.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 6 years of related work experience in BIM.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
BIM-related certification is preferred.
