As a Windows System Administrator at Müller's Solutions, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our Windows server environment. This role requires a deep understanding of Windows operating systems and will involve managing and troubleshooting server hardware, software, and networking components. You'll work closely with other IT staff to ensure high availability and performance of our systems, as well as support our users’ needs by providing excellent technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and monitor Windows servers to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Install and configure Windows OS and application software, applying updates and patches regularly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, including hardware and software malfunctions.
- Ensure data integrity by implementing and managing backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings within Active Directory.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect server data and systems, including firewalls and anti-virus tools.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes in IT documentation.
- Assist in planning and executing system migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in Windows system administration or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022).
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other directory services.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) as well as cloud services (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation of tasks.
- Knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Understanding of database management systems (SQL Server) and application server environments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist and guide end-users.
- Proactive approach to system monitoring and improvement strategies.
