Job Description
Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations, including inbound, inventory, ensuring timely and efficient material flow to support project execution. This role also involves managing inventory accuracy, implementing best practices, and collaborating with various teams like procurement , material planning and project management.
Warehouse Operations Management: Overseeing daily activities like receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all transfer request to production, and managing all the returns from production.
Inventory Management: Maintaining optimal inventory levels, conducting cycle counts and audits.
Material Flow Planning: Developing and implementing strategies to optimize material flow, minimize handling costs, and align with project schedules.
Team Leadership: Supervising and delegating tasks to warehouse staff, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicating with various teams, including procurement, project management, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
Reporting: Preparing reports on inventory, transactions, and other relevant data, as required by management.
Safety and Compliance: Implementing and enforcing safety and security procedures, maintaining a safe working environment, and adhering to company policies.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a warehouse manager.
- Cycle counting / order checking.
- Expertise is warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPI s).
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good Knowledge of Excel.
