Role Summary:
This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of freight delivery, coordinating between drivers, logistics teams, and external vendors to meet delivery schedules and maintain high service standards. You will focus on optimizing the road transport network, ensuring safety compliance, managing resources, and supporting the sustainable goals of NEOM's smart logistics ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of road freight operations, ensuring that all freight is delivered on time and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Monitor operations to optimize efficiency, minimize delays, and resolve operational issues swiftly.
- Coordinate and schedule freight movement across the vendors, ensuring appropriate resource allocation within team and timely execution of shipments by adhering to DSV KPI.
- Lead, train, and manage a team of logistics coordinators and operational staff, ensuring they adhere to operational procedures, KPI and standards.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., contract logistics, freight forwarding, customs) to ensure alignment and smooth flow of operations.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and readiness of vehicles and freight equipment.
- Manage and review transportation costs, ensuring that budgets are adhered to and exploring opportunities for cost optimization.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure that freight requirements and expectations are met.
- Handle any customer complaints or service issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience and fostering strong relationships.
- Collaborate with external transport providers and third-party logistics companies to coordinate shipments and ensure on time performance in accordance with DSV KPI.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in transport/logistics or relevant safety certifications (e.g., ADR, CPC) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in road freight operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Hands-on experience in managing construction logistics, third party logistics, road transport movements, fleet, freight operations, logistics coordination, and transport scheduling.
- In-depth understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices in Saudi Arabia
- Experience in managing a team and working with external partners and service providers.

- Proficiency in transport management software (e.g., TMS, GPS tracking, fleet management systems).
- Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with vendors, clients, and partners.
- Proficiency in Windows Office.
