Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a dynamic Senior Development Manager - Area Development to play a crucial role in the planning and execution of themed areas within our upcoming theme park. This role requires a strategic leader who will ensure that each themed area aligns with the overall vision of Qiddiya while enhancing the visitor experience and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and development of specific themed areas within the theme park, ensuring they meet design, budget, and timeline objectives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including creative, engineering, and operational departments, to conceptualize and realize immersive area experiences.
- Conduct detailed feasibility studies, market analysis, and risk assessments to guide the design and development process.
- Oversee project management for area development, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management to ensure timely delivery.
- Engage with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure quality outcomes and adherence to project specifications.
- Monitor the progress of construction and implementation of themed areas, addressing project challenges proactively.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the development process.
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to senior management, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Support cross-functional team collaboration to integrate area developments with the overall park operations and guest experiences.
- Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the area development team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience in area development or thematic project management, particularly within theme parks or large resort projects.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex development projects from concept through execution.
- Comprehensive understanding of design processes, construction management, and thematic development.
- Outstanding leadership and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and methodologies.
- Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred.
