Role scope
To be responsible for developing and implementing Construction strategies for both onshore and offshore projects, developing project-specific procedures based on Kent Integrated Management System, management of piping/structural fabrication, and management of construction activities at both onshore and offshore facilities
Details / responsibilities
- Lead all construction activities with a focus on Safety, Quality Assurance, and Compliance
- Develop Construction Execution Plan through liaison with project participants and with reference to Kent Integrated Management System
- Develop Work packs for multi-discipline construction
- Interface with project stakeholders to ensure necessary documentation is available when required
- Provide input to overall project schedule and planning
- Input towards lifting studies
- Identify project risks. Participate in project risk workshops
- Input towards construction safety case update
- Manage offshore installation campaign, work pack implementation/completions/commissioning and handover including all necessary documentation
- Responsible of all Site/Construction electrical activities at the plant
- Responsible that electrical work is completed is a safe, efficient and timely manner and in compliance with environmental requirements
- Promote electrical safety and safe work practices in the workplace with subordinates
- Arranges appropriate JSA for PTW and passes to the Permit coordinator to initiate preparation
- Read and understand construction and other drawings, specifications and other technical information, and advise others of the same Control the works execution to assure that they are carried out in agreement with the procedures, drawings and specifications
- Review current P&ID’s and where there are inaccuracies or omissions, ensure accurate, updated and authorized copies are produced for your discipline area of expertise
- Provide engineering and technical guidance to operatives, supervision and management and collaborate with the Construction Manager, in the establishment of the procedures of supervision and control
- Responsible for the accurate documentation of electrical schematics and stores spare parts inventory
- Responsible for supervising the sub-contractor electrical technicians/crews in the execution of daily work orders/activities
- Perform the equipment´s and systems reception, together with the supervisors of the manufacturers and involved contractors
- The electrical supervisor shall assess the condition of the process and machinery accurately, assess risk and identify the appropriate corrective actions based on technical analysis and risk management
- Monitors the progress of Electrical, Well-head PPM’S, valves, and safety equipment work, provides advice and guidance on courses of action to be taken and arranges for equipment testing and/or fitting work to be inspected when required
- Reviews completed work, checks and carries out start-up tests
- Verify the technical qualifications of the specialists who intervene in the construction and the fulfilment of the specifications and procedures applicable to the works of construction
- Expertise in, and able to train / mentor in; Igniters, Pilots, FD Fans, TI’s, Switches, Control
- Panels and electrical continuity best practice
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least 10 years’ Prior experience (5 years in supervisory role) in E&I construction, preferably with an international EPC company.
- Excellent leadership and communications skills
- MS
- TBOSIET (training can be provided if certification expired)
- Experience with piping fabrication and offshore installation activities
- Familiar with work pack formats and implementation of
- Familiar with completions procedures and handover.
- Effective oral and written communication is essential.
