Valmet is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Flow Control Business Line in Damman. This is a key role in ensuring product and process quality for valves and valve accessories , with a strong focus on customer standards.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for quality assurance and control activities, maintaining ISO systems, and driving continuous improvement across the production process. You will work closely with the Global Quality Team and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
Location: Dammam Workshop
In this role, you will:
- Ensure compliance with Valmet safety standards and HSE regulations.
- Manage all quality activities and systems development for the Saudi plant.
- Conduct inspections across the manufacturing process: incoming, in-process, and outgoing.
- Lead customer inspections and participate in delivery meetings.
- Plan and execute special testing procedures.
- Implement and maintain quality management system tools and metrics.
- Analyze data and lead corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, inspection templates, and training materials.
- Coordinate QPLANs and NMR documentation.
- Support internal audits and drive improvements in documentation and procedures.
- Raise issues and improvement opportunities in weekly management meetings.
What You Bring:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Automation.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ASME, API 6D, API 609.
- Experience in the valve industry and quality control disciplines.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as 5 Whys.
- Ability to manage audits and internal reporting independently.
- Strong communication skills to handle customer interactions.
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
This role is primarily administrative and based within the production site, requiring daily collaboration with operational teams. Travel is limited.
