Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from project drawings and specifications.
- Conduct cost estimation and budget planning for civil, architectural, MEP, and infrastructure works.
- Analyze and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations and make recommendations.
- Evaluate progress claims, variations, and change orders submitted by subcontractors.
- Prepare interim payment certificates, final accounts, and project close-out reports.
- Track project costs and ensure they remain within approved budgets.
- Support tendering and procurement processes including preparation of RFQs and bid evaluations.
- Participate in site measurements, inspections, and progress reviews with the site team.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, FIDIC standards, and company policies.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and procurement team to align on cost matters.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in a construction company (main contractor or consultant).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost control practices.
- Familiar with FIDIC and standard forms of contract.
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6, or CostX.
- Excellent skills in numerical analysis, attention to detail, and problem-solving.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus for GCC/MENA-based companies).
