In this role as a Purchase Assistant, the primary responsibility is to assist in the procurement of raw materials, packaging and chemical additives used in paints and coatings production.

- Follows guidelines and procedure of the procurement & LMM departments.
- Executes orders based on local/corporate purchasing agreements and performs daily order handling to local plant.
- Measures and assess supplier performance.
- Follows guidelines and policies laid down by Group Purchasing.
- Coordinates the purchase of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Maintains constant follow-up of the raw material suppliers.
- Follows up on documents of the incoming raw materials.
- Coordinates with Factory/Lab/RM stores personnel after arrival of goods.
- Coordinates with the local clearing agent with regards to documents and clearing of the goods.
- Posts the raw materials into the ERP System (updating the stock levels of the raw material/cans/finished goods).
- Controls the inventory levels of raw materials and packaging material.
- Follow e-Convention, BMS, EMS and OHSAS Management system.
- Focus on 6S activities of the factory and maintain good results
- To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to company health, safety and environment policies.
This role will be based in our Jeddah factory and will report into the LMM Supervisor.
What we’re looking for:
- Diploma holders in Procurement or Logistics with proven experience is ideal.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or Chemical Engineering will be an added value.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a strong advantage.
- Basic understanding of raw materials, chemicals, or industrial goods is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement documentation.
- Attention to Detail- Ensures accuracy in specifications, orders, and documentation.
- Integrity and Compliance – Adheres to procurement policies and ethical standards.
- Time Management – Handles multiple tasks and meets tight deadlines successfully.
- Effective Communication – Coordinates clearly with suppliers and internal teams.
- Team Collaboration – Works closely with production, planning, and warehousing functions.
- Adaptability – Responds well to changing priorities or urgent supply issues.
- Initiative – Takes ownership and follows up on orders proactively.
