Job Summary:
The Technical Coordinator supports the Project and Technical teams by coordinating design information, reviewing technical documents, and ensuring that all drawings, specifications, and materials are aligned with project requirements and timelines. The role acts as a key liaison between the design office, site team, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the flow of technical documentation between departments, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and technical documents for compliance with design intent and project specifications.
- Follow up with subcontractors and suppliers for timely submission of required documents and technical data.
- Ensure all revisions to drawings, specifications, and documentation are clearly tracked and communicated.
- Assist in preparing method statements, technical presentations, and RFI responses when required.
- Organize and maintain document control systems related to technical project data.
- Support the project team in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Attend coordination meetings and ensure technical issues are documented and resolved.
- Liaise with the procurement and planning teams to align material approvals and deliveries with the project schedule.
- Participate in site inspections and monitor the implementation of technical solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within construction, interior fit-out, or engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project coordination tools.
- Familiarity with project workflows and document control systems.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BIM/Revit or other 3D coordination tools is a plus.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced project environment (e.g., contracting or design-build firms).
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and practices.
