As the Procurement Manager, you will lead a team responsible for sourcing and negotiating all materials, equipment, and services for our construction projects. Your engineering background will enable you to understand technical drawings, specifications, and site needs, ensuring alignment between procurement activities and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement team in planning and executing purchasing strategies aligned with engineering and project goals.
- Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs to determine precise procurement needs.
- Develop and manage supplier and subcontractor relationships to ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality deliveries.
- Review and approve RFQs, purchase orders, contracts, and material submittals.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to forecast needs and mitigate risks.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics, cost savings, and supplier compliance.
- Evaluate technical proposals and ensure materials/services meet required standards and codes.
- Implement and improve procurement policies, procedures, and ERP systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (required).
- Minimum 7+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a management role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, building systems, and engineering specifications.
- Proven negotiation, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, procurement regulations, and vendor qualification processes.
- Proficient in procurement/ERP software and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- Candidates should be from Saudi with Transferable Iqama.
