Job Title: Procurement Executive – Marine/Vessel Operations
Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)
Reporting To: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Procurement Executive with solid experience in marine and vessel-related purchasing within the KSA market. The role involves managing procurement activities for shipbuilding and vessel operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of equipment, spare parts, and services. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Arabic and English, with strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate cost comparisons, data analysis, and market research to support procurement decisions.
- Perform supplier qualification including assessments, visits, and compliance checks.
- Source marine equipment, systems, and spare parts based on technical specifications and operational requirements.
- Process purchases requisitions promptly and accurately, ensuring alignment with delivery schedules and budget constraints.
- Understand shipbuilding timelines to plan and procure equipment and systems accordingly.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Expedite orders and provide regular updates to stakeholders on procurement milestones.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and KSA maritime regulations.
- Maintain procurement records and documentation using ERP systems (Workday preferred).
- Support emergency procurement needs and vessel breakdown situations.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Marine Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in marine/vessel procurement within the KSA market.
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, spare parts, and marine systems.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Valid KSA driving license preferred.
- Proficient in ERP systems (Workday) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communicator with good follow-up and expediting capabilities.
