Job Overview
Based in our Riyadh headquarters, the Senior Operations Manager will be a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing the seamless integration and performance of various technical departments including Projects, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Field Services. Leveraging extensive experience and formal project management methodologies (PMP), this individual will design, implement, and control processes to enhance productivity, ensure project delivery excellence, and maintain our high standards of quality and safety. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and hands-on operational control.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership & Departmental Control:
* Oversee the daily operations of multiple technical departments, ensuring they work cohesively to achieve organizational goals and deliver on client commitments.
* Develop and implement robust operational policies, procedures, and performance metrics (KPIs) to monitor and control departmental efficiency and project health.
* Conduct regular performance reviews with department heads, analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within the Riyadh operational hub.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) across all operational facets.
* Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and justify capital expenditures in alignment with the company's financial objectives.
2. Strategic Project Management (PMP Focus):
* Initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close complex, cross-functional engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet scope, time, and budget constraints.
* Develop detailed project charters, work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, and risk management plans adhering to PMI/PMP standards.
* Lead project teams comprising members from different departments, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
* Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals using appropriate PMP tools (EVM, CPI, SPI).
* Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level project governance and stakeholder reporting.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:
* Act as the central point of coordination between technical departments (Engineering, Field Services) and support functions (Sales, Finance, and HR) to ensure strategic alignment.
* Communicate operational strategies, project statuses, and technical performance metrics effectively to executive leadership and stakeholders.
* Resolve inter-departmental conflicts and remove obstacles that impede progress.
4. Team Development & Mentorship:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical department managers and project coordinators within the Riyadh office.
* Promote professional growth and instill project management and operational best practices within the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field) is mandatory.
* PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within a technical or engineering environment, with a proven track record of managing multiple departments.
* Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, cross-functional engineering or automation projects from initiation to closure.
* Expert knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and ERP systems.
* Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
* Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
* Need Nationality: Saudi's or Other Countries
Preferred :
* A Master's degree in Engineering Management or a related technical field is preferred.
* Additional certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Master are highly desirable.
* Prior experience working within the Saudi Arabian market and understanding of local business practices.
