Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Marine Deck Supervisor to oversee daily deck operations and manage deck crews on marine vessels and offshore platforms. The supervisor will ensure that deck activities, including cargo handling, maintenance, and safety procedures, are conducted efficiently and safely. The Marine Deck Supervisor will coordinate with vessel masters and offshore teams to support operational goals and uphold compliance with maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise deck operations, including cargo handling and equipment maintenance.
Manage, train, and lead deck crew members to maintain high performance and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with maritime safety and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with vessel officers and offshore teams on operational requirements.
Monitor the condition and proper use of deck equipment and tools.
Conduct regular safety briefings and toolbox talks.
Maintain accurate records of deck activities and equipment inspections.
Support emergency drills and preparedness on deck.
Assist in planning and execution of vessel logistics and cargo operations.
Report operational issues and suggest improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
Certification as a Deck Officer or equivalent maritime qualification.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in marine deck operations, including supervisory roles.
Strong knowledge of cargo handling, deck machinery, and safety procedures.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
Familiarity with maritime regulations and standards.
Valid STCW certifications and relevant licenses.
Proficient in maintaining operational records and reports.
