Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for an experienced and proactive Manager - Permitting and Inspection to join our innovative team. In this crucial role, you will manage the life cycle of the application and permit process; and monitor the complex interrelation procedures of the permitting, building and development review divisions. Provide daily oversight and management of all applications and permitting processes.
Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering collaboration between various departments and regulatory agencies, making sure that all project phases follow established protocols and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Meets with and reports to the Director of Regulatory Services about assigned functions within the Estate Management Team.
- Maintaining constant communication with applicants and staff to track progress for all Development Services Division activities including Site Development permitting, Building Plan permitting, Contractor License information, and Inspection Services in accordance with the Municipal Code, Building Codes, and general department policies.
- Oversee the review, approval and issuance of permits.
- Ensuring all permits are accurate and compliant with local and state regulations.
- Maintaining records of issued permits for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Staying updated on industry regulations and ensuring permits adhere to changing guidelines.
- Liaising with government agencies and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Communicating with Project Managers, contractors and stakeholders regarding permit requirements and update.
- Addressing queries and resolving issues related to permits efficiently.
- Developing and implementing streamlined procedures for permit applications, approval and renewals.
- Identifying bottlenecks in the permitting process and propose solutions.
- Managing and training a team of permit officers and coordinators.
- Assigning responsibilities and ensuring timely completion of permit related tasks.
- Generating regular reports on permit activities compliance status and performance metrics.
- Ensuring all records are properly documented and stored securely.
- Ensuring permits meet safety and environment standards.
- Conduiting regular audits to identify non-compliance or risks.
- Coordinating with the Building Division for the assisting in the testing, licensing and renewal of licenses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in regulatory services planning, permitting, inspections and compliance.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for permitting and project management.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and inspection techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities with effective communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges proactively.
- Proficient in handling multiple priorities and managing complex regulatory environments.
