Position Summary:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities in the factory, ensuring smooth operation of machines, utilities, and facilities. He ensures minimal downtime, develops preventive maintenance plans, and leads the technical team to maintain high productivity, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for carton production lines, corrugators, printers, die-cutters, gluing machines, compressors, boilers, and utilities.
- Ensure quick response to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Team Management:
- Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance engineers, technicians, and electricians.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure efficient use of manpower.
- Machinery & Spare Parts Control:
- Monitor machine performance and carry out root-cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical parts while optimizing cost.
- Coordinate with suppliers for technical support and spare parts procurement.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Implement safety procedures for electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
- Conduct risk assessments and preventive safety measures.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest and implement improvements to increase machine efficiency, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.
- Lead projects for factory upgrades and installation of new machines.
- Reporting & Budgeting:
- Prepare regular reports on maintenance KPIs (downtime, cost, spare parts usage, etc.).
- Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in carton, corrugated, or packaging industry.
- Strong knowledge of corrugation, printing, and packaging machinery.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and preventive maintenance systems.
- Good communication in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
