We are hiring for the position of Local Purchaser. We are looking for a dynamic and qualified candidate to manage sourcing and procurement activities from the local market. Responsibilities include communicating with suppliers, collecting quotations, coordinating material deliveries, handling invoice submissions, processing cash purchases, and organizing equipment servicing. Fluency in Arabic, English, and Hindi (spoken and written) is required for effective communication with suppliers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source required materials and equipment from the local market as per company needs.
* Manage relationships with local vendors and service providers.
* Obtain and compare multiple quotations for price and quality.
* Coordinate and follow up on timely deliveries to designated sites or warehouses.
* Submit invoices and supporting documents accurately and on time to the finance team.
* Process local cash purchases in accordance with company policies.
* Coordinate maintenance and servicing of equipment with approved vendors.
* Maintain updated records of purchases, quotations, and vendor information.
* Communicate with internal departments to align procurement activities with operational needs.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
* Proven experience in local procurement (minimum 2–4 years).
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Good understanding of the local supplier market.
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
* Fluency in Arabic, English, and Hindi (spoken and written).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
* Valid driving license is preferred for local travel.
Preferred Background:
* Experience in procurement for retail, construction, or facility management sectors.
* Basic knowledge of accounting and invoice processing.
