Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems for diverse engineering projects. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, optimising system performance, and leading a team of engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget. This role demands technical excellence, leadership, and the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical design and analysis for infrastructure and industrial projects.
Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Ensure adherence to electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet objectives.
Conduct feasibility studies and propose electrical system improvements.
Evaluate and approve vendor submissions for electrical equipment.
Supervise electrical engineering activities during execution phases.
Support procurement with technical assessments and documentation.
Oversee risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies for electrical systems.
Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering within major projects.
Proficiency in electrical design software and analytical tools.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes and international standards.
Demonstrated leadership and team coordination abilities.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Professional engineering registration is an advantage.
