Job Description:
Role Summary
The L2 Automation Engineer supports the design and maintenance of automation scripts and tasks that improve efficiency across compute and infrastructure services. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this role assists in the development, testing, and deployment of automated solutions for day-to-day infrastructure operations.
- Support development of scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and patching tasks.
- Assist in maintaining automation playbooks and deployment pipelines.
- Troubleshoot automation failures and maintain execution logs.
- Work with L3 engineers to review automation requirements and contribute improvements.
- Participate in rollout of new automation modules across environments.
- Proficiency in basic scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Experience with Ansible basics and Git repositories.
- Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing integration (optional: ServiceNow workflows).
- Understanding of infrastructure components like OS, storage, and networking.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in IT or equivalent.
- 3-5 years in infrastructure support roles, with automation exposure.
