Responsibilities

• Teach: The job holder will be expected to

• Teach in the relevant subject area according to the approved syllabus.

• Deliver or supervise and demonstrations in the area of weapons maintenance.

• Conduct visits to relevant areas of interest.

• Assess: The job holder will be expected to:

• Conduct regular assessments to ensure students are progressing academically.

• Conduct phase-end examinations to ensure training objectives have been achieved

• Discipline: The job holder will be expected to:

• Adopt and promote independent learning and a military ethos in line with the training environment

• Provide on-going evaluation of students discipline as part of their final assessment .

• Counsel and motivate students, where applicable, on relevant academic and discipline issues.

• Record: The Job holder will be expected to:

• Record students’ academic assessment results.

• Record students’ lesson attendance.

• Record any discipline issues with students.

• Report: The job holder will be expected to:

• Provide regular reports concerning student’s academic progress, lesson attendance and

• discipline.

• Report any other relevant issues whenever required or deemed appropriate.

• Develop: The job holder will be expected to:

• Regularly review the area’s courseware related to munitions supply.

• Recommend changes to the course material relevant to munitions supply.

• Review and recommend changes to assessment material in the subject area related to munitions supply.

• Apply RSAF procedures for configuration control of curriculum and courseware, including preparing documentation and supporting data for curriculum or courseware change requests.

• Integrate new training materials or equipment into the relevant course.

• Ensure all training equipment is properly maintained and stored.

• Contribute to preparation of timetables, scheduling and allocation of instructors.

• Operate: The job holder will be expected to:

• Nil

• Other Duties: The job holder will be expected to:

• Ensure compliance with SHE policy and processes and Duty of Care responsibilities.

• Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as required by the Company.

• Provide feedback to management to improve service performance and responsiveness and identify opportunities.

• Perform additional tasks as requested by the customer that can be construed as a reasonable activity for a professional teacher / instructor.

• The job holder is to be a graduate of a Service or Civilian Technical Training Institute or hold a degree, or Advanced Technical/Military Logistics Training Certificate and have specialist knowledge in the following areas:

• A close interest in keeping abreast of modern techniques in the Automated Logistics field

Job Requirements:

• Munition Supply Management instructor to have the following qualifications and experience:

• Must be a graduate of a Service or Civilian Technical Training Institute.

• Must be qualified instructor and have completed a formal Instructional Techniques Course.

• Must be skill level 7 or equivalent to it in AFSC 331X1.

• Must have completed course no. (30166) Munition supply specialist or equivalent.

• Must have a knowledge of RSAFM 105-31 – Technical, Academic and Professional Training Procedures.

• Must have a knowledge of RSAFI 4-7602 Volume 5 – Munitions Supply Instructions.

• Must have a minimum of 5 years recent classroom experience as Technical Instructor.

• A minimum of 8 years practical experience in equipment service and Maintenance, appropriate to this field.

• A minimum of 8 years practical and progressive experience in Munition Supply/Logistics Support.

• Must have a sound knowledge of the RSAF Manuals 4-7167-1 Series, 05 Series.

• Computer literate, with a fully conversant working knowledge of Microsoft Office; especially MS Word and PowerPoint.

• Perform all instructor’s duties.
