Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep and repair of all equipment, infrastructure, and systems in our café, restaurant, and bakery operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in kitchen equipment maintenance, plumbing, building repairs, and general facility management.
Key Responsibilities:Kitchen & Bakery Equipment Maintenance
- Perform regular inspections, servicing, and repairs of ovens, mixers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, stoves, grills, fryers, and other commercial kitchen and bakery equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Work with vendors or manufacturers for major repairs or parts replacements.
Building & Facility Maintenance
- Conduct regular checks of building infrastructure including HVAC, lighting, electrical systems, and structural components.
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, and masonry work as required.
- Ensure safety and compliance with building codes and health regulations.
Pipeline & Plumbing Systems
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems including water lines, drainage systems, and grease traps.
- Identify and resolve leaks, clogs, and other piping issues promptly.
- Monitor and maintain water filtration systems and pipeline integrity.
Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment and facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Emergency Response
- Respond to urgent maintenance calls and resolve issues to avoid operational interruptions.
- Be on-call for after-hours or weekend emergencies when necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a hospitality, food service, or commercial kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment schematics.
- Familiar with local safety, health, and building regulations.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment or perform manual tasks.
- Vocational or technical training/certification is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work may involve exposure to heat, noise, and cold environments (e.g., walk-in freezers).
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
