Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the efficient operation of the following activities: Maintain all aspects of assigned financial account segments, including gathering data for preparation of detailed schedules and reports as required.

Major Responsibilities:

• Performs routine accounting and or transactional tasks
• Prepares and submits accounting journal entries
• Requires process orientated decision making, like performing final invoice steps, in close coordination with internal teams and external parties
• Ensures that all assigned account reconciliations are completed monthly, and any required corrections are completed in the current month
• Examine a variety of recording and reporting documents to verify accuracy and conformance with specific functional, corporate, contract, government, or professional accounting requirements
• Obtains Request for Vendor Supplier Setup (RVSS) to banking confirmations and arrange local documentation for vendors
• Receives, scans, transmits and tracks AP invoices for processing by Shared Service centers
• Prepare local and government payment instructions and circulate for review and approval.
• Sends payment confirmation to Accounts Payable payment coordinators
• Coordinates with Project accounting teams on transaction queries and processes issues
• Reconcile and submit monthly GOSI invoices with employer and employee contributions.
• Prepare audit schedules and information to support internal and external audits
• Petty Cash custodian and prepare supporting transaction documents and replenishment forms.
• Updates and reports on government website portals
• Prepare Arabic translations of ledgers as per statutory requirements

In the performance of the above activities, shall ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures. Comply with due dates associated with all assigned tasks, and give early warnings of problems with meeting these due dates.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, or related course study
• 2-5 years of experience in a comparable accounting position
• Understanding of Accounting concepts such Accruals, Prepayments, Accounting system and Basic Knowledge of financial reporting standards
• Knowledge of accounting standards (SOCPA / IFRS) and financial reporting methods
• Candidate must be a registered member of SOCPA

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Able to interface at various levels of the organization
• Proficient in English language skills in oral and written communications, MS Office suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel).
